Many of you may be asking what an EagleTac is and what is has to do with you. I’m here to give you all that information. The EagleTac T100 C2 is Mark II is a flashlight. If you are anything like I was a couple of days ago, than you are rolling your eyes wondering why you are even wasting your time reading a review on a flashlight, all flashlights are basically the same etc. I was like you, thinking that all flashlights were the same and that there were no differences between models. It wasn’t until an EagleTac T100C2 arrived in the mail that my mind was changed.

At first glance it looked like a regular flashlight to me but the more I studied and actually used it the more I was impressed! The head of the flashlight is built in such a unique way. It’s not a flat even surface this is nice because when placed head down there are three areas that the light shines from. With this convenience you won’t forget, and leave the light on.

The light used in this flashlight is an LED light. LED stands for light emitting diode. LED lights are a unique light to begin with. They can be used in spas for healing treatments, and in this case they are used for their long lasting power. LEDs don’t have filaments that can burn out and don’t get particularly hot. After the flashlights been on for a while the lens gets warm but nothing compared to a regular flashlight. You can place the flashlight on your skin without burning yourself.

With the LED light, the life span of the light lasts much longer than any normal flashlight and the brightness is beyond any light I’ve ever seen. It’s a light that I will count on when I’m in need of a flashlight.

This particular model also comes with a “Turbo and General” option. The general brings the light to a dimmer illumination, one that matches the regular brightness of other lights. On the box it shows that it produces 55 lumens on the general setting. The turbo increases the light brightness giving off a more intensified beam and is said to give off 220 lumens on this setting. I had no idea what a lumen was, but after much research I discovered that a lumen is a measurement of the amount of light given from a light source.

The body of the flashlight has diamond knurling around the entire tube allowing for easy grip. There’s a grip ring near the tail end of the flashlight which acts as an anti-roll feature. Very comfortable when held in hand, lightweight and the perfect size for a pocket or purse.

All in all if anyone is looking for a very reliable, durable, water-resistant and easy to use and transport flashlight the EagleTac T100C2 Mark II series flashlight is the one to use! It’s a flashlight that will not disappoint!

What is LED? (Light Emitting Diode)

There are many reasons to choose an LED flashlight over a traditional Incandescent flashlight. Below we will go over some of these reasons.

Power Consumption –
This would be one of the main reasons for choosing an LED flashlight. Batteries can get very expensive, especially the Larger C and D cell batteries. You can also switch between different output levels to conserve power or to get the most powerful beam of light. There are also many rechargeable models as well some of which can even fully charge in as little as 90 seconds. LED flashlights can last up to 10 times longer on a set of batteries than a traditional incandescent flashlight. Some of the LED flashlights can run hundreds of hours continuously on one set of batteries. The traditional flashlight would grow very dim as the battery weakened, however with an LED the light remains constant as the battery dies out.

Longevity –
This would be another big reason for choosing an LED flashlight. The traditional incandescent bulb produces large amounts of heat which greatly diminishes the life of the bulb. The LED is a very efficient alternative. Traditional flashlight bulbs can typically have a lifespan of 1,000 to 2,000 hours, while the LED can range anywhere from 20,000 hours to 50,000 hours. Heat will effect an LED and diminish its longevity as well if it is not property designed. Most of the newer LED flashlights use different types of aluminum for the body of the light, this helps with the dissipation of the heat.

Durability –
Do you remember the old plastic flashlight (it may still be in your drawer) that one you have to bang on the palm of your hand to get it to turn on? The LED flashlight replaces those lights and is superior in durability. If you banged the plastic flashlight against something or even worse, dropped it, you would have to start over again and bang on it until the beam of light came back on. Most models of the LED flashlight can be dropped, kicked, and even run over with a car and they will still operate normally.

The quality of most of these LED flashlights is far superior than any of the other flashlights that you are used to.

What are the most efficient flashlights available today? With so many choices out there, how do you find the best fit for you? We think LED-based flashlights are the only flashlights worthy of consideration. LEDs will shine longer than other bulbs, and can withstand a lot of abuse. But here are a few suggestions that should help you make the decision of which flashlight fits your needs best.

Personal Flashlight or Tactical Flashlight??

You need to decide between a personal flashlight or a tactical flashlight. Your environment and situation will help dictate the best fit for you. Do you need the flashlight to be waterproof? Generally a tactical flashlight means it is much more durable than a personal flashlight. It usually has a strobe and or can be used as a weapon in a life or death situation. A tactical flashlight needs three basic things: reliability, easy use, and mission specific features. Do you need an extremely durable flashlight or will a cheaper model work for you?

Which Size??

The size of a flashlight is something you should consider. For those who are always busy or for those who have limited space, you might think about choosing the more condensed size. They are easier to carry around and you can quickly remove them from a bag or pocket. Be sure that the size does not compromise the efficiency of the flashlight.

Which Type of Light??

What lighting technology so you prefer? There two most basic types of flashlights are LED flashlights or Incandescent flashlights. LED’s provide much brighter lighting. Incandescent is not as vivid as LEDs but are a reasonable choice if you don‘t have a lot to spend. If you want the more impressive light, you should consider LEDs. LED flashlights are far more durable as they do not have fragile parts inside. Most of them are also shatter-proof so they can still work even if you drop it. This type of lighting also implements much longer battery life and longevity of the bulb. This means there is less maintenance required and much more reliability.

Which Type of Power Supply??

What type of power supply is most convenient for you? Many flashlights use standard batteries such as Double A, Triple A, D and C cell. Flashlights that use this type of power supply can be expensive and frustrating if you run out of new batteries. It is much more convenient to just purchase a flashlight that uses rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable flashlights will save you money over time. There are also solar powered flashlights, but you will still need to recharge solar energy flashlights. This could be a great choice if you do not have access to a charging station.

Read The Reviews!!

When you finally think you have made a choice, make sure to read some reviews. There are many free flashlight reviews available on the internet. These reviews can be very helpful in helping you find the flashlight that works well for your needs. Don’t base your choice purely on review sites alone. Sometimes manufacturers pay those review sites. You also want to read reviews from customers just like yourself. Someone who has actually purchased that model. Choose brands that have been rated highly as they typically tend to undergo more quality manufacturing.

Flashlights can be very convenient to have on hand. You can use them in your home, garage, car, workplace, RV, boat, etc. You can use them during emergency situations such as power outages, natural disasters, and even as a self-defense weapon. They can be a life-saving device to attract attention to rescuers if you are stranded or need help. This is why choosing the most trustworthy flashlight is necessary so it will be reliable when you need it most. You want to choose something durable, reliable, easy to handle, easy to use (especially under stress) and immediately-available bright light.
